The fee for counselling is $160 per 50 minute individual session.
This allows me time to document important parts of our session and areas for follow up at the end of our session. Couples sessions (or any 2 person/dyad appointments) are 60 minutes and 200$/hour.
Payment is due the day of each session either by e-transfer. Receipts will be provided. Although, the fees are not covered by OHIP, many extended health care plans or insurance policies cover all or part of the costs. Please check with your provider prior to booking to see if they cover social workers as some plans will only provide funds for psychiatrists or psychologists.
However, the Canada Revenue Agency now approves Social Workers as authorized “medical practitioners” and as such receipts provided can be claimed as medical expenses on income tax returns.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please notify Jennifer, at least 24 hours in advance by emailing at jennifer@stillwaters-counselling.ca
If you miss or cancel an appointment without proper notification you will be charged the full session fee for any future missed appointments without proper notification, along with any legal or other fees Jennifer may accumulate while trying to recover this charge. It will also be your responsibility to reschedule missed appointments.
Finally, i ask that you kindly pay any outstanding session fees, prior to additional sessions being scheduled.
If you need to contact Jennifer outside of our scheduled sessions, please email her at jennifer@stillwaters-counselling.ca
